Introduction
<unknown> is one collection of contemporary dance produced in 2016 by Xiexin dance theatre. It is a name also concept. The words of "not" was mean new, future, and full of possibilities. Thus as the first half it will be created a new work every year, while <touch> is the work of Xiexin and Lixin in2016 and <……After……> is selected and created by Xiexin and Pan in 2018. At this year, Xiexin invited Panyu, a director of hip-hop to create a new work "Darkness" for her dance troupe.

As a new deeply attempt for the encounter of contemporary dance and hip-hop, you might expected the chemical reaction of variation in all dancer. Anther words "know" was in behalf of classical. Xiexin dance theatre used the first work "layer", which created by Israeli director Eyal Dadon as a reserved work in second half of <unknown> This international cooperation work, which premiered at the National Grand Theatre, and it was known as one of the best dance product evaluated of the year. You must be amazed at the brilliance of the scene.

First half | 《Darkness》
Programme Description: chooses <Darkness> to describe “darkness” does not mean to express darkness or hidden mystery directly, but to create a brave intuition to the unknown through such a kind of deep force and vague level that is suspected to be wrapped. I have been trying to use time to filter an identifiable physical texture, after repeated exercises have to overturn subtle pinching, and the body is as spiritual as a snake. Transient、rapid、 aggressive、and soft.

Second half | “ Layers ”
Programme Description：Everything - has layers. Color, Sound, Clothes, Material, sense, personality, thoughts, soul, air, skin, everything. Dadon believes that, mixing layers, can connect between cul- tures, and can help the understanding of each other, just like color or music, it doesn’t matter which color or music you will mix, you will have a result of something, which you will be able to understand. A person should know how to imagine and “dream” about the way that layers looks like, because it can be translated in many ways, but it is enough to have one way to see it, and a whole world can be discovered.

Xiexin Dance Theatre
The Xiexin Dance Theatre focuses on body research, contemporary dance education and the creation of original works of contemporary dance.
