Introduction

From Haydn, the father of the symphony, to St. Beethoven, listen to the musical traditions of the Viennese Classical School. The three German and Austrian masters have both inheritance and innovative spirit. They all centered on Vienna. Haydn created an era of music history here. Mozart showed his talents in this art capital as an independent musician. Beethoven left outstanding works that are worshiped by later generations. In the period of classicism, the trio became unique as a genre of chamber music. With the popularization of the piano in the 18th century, the "piano trio" with richer and more diverse musical textures not only attracted the attention of composers, but also aroused music interest.

It is suitable for playing in family concerts. The relationship between the three instruments has developed from the early "accompaniment" to the later "competition". Especially for Beethoven, the piano, violin and cello have achieved a balanced aesthetic. . Mozart's Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor incorporates the viola, an instrument Mozart favored when playing chamber music. The score publishers originally intended the work to be performed by amateur musicians in Vienna, but the composer seems to think otherwise.

Performers Introduction

OPUS Trio was founded by Cui Lan. The word "Opus" in its Chinese and English names means works, taste and quality. From the pictographic point of view, the characters of pin are just the playing positions of the three performers, and the characters of mouth represent the intimate three people.

The resident performers are composed of Cui Lan, associate professor of piano at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, master tutor, and Yamaha educator, Song Yang, a violin teacher at the Shanghai Music Affiliated Middle School, and Wu Minzhe, chief cellist of the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra.
