For the ancient Egyptians, the close connection between life and death, between this life and the next, was an integral part of their idea of creation and the key to survival in the world, which was not to be feared, but an opportunity to continue living with God.

In order to preserve the body, the ancient Egyptians invented the technology of mummification more than 4,000 years ago, and they designed coffins with religious texts and patterns, as well as special burial supplies, in order to protect and maintain the life of the dead.

Ancient Egypt and mummies have always inspired great curiosity. How well preserved and mummified, as well as their meaning and function are the focus of attention.

This exhibition tells about the ancient Egyptian concept of the afterlife, the techniques of mummification and the rituals of the resurrection of the dead in the afterlife.
