When You Yang is depicting tigers, he is also depicting human souls. In his works, the tigers' loneliness expresses the living conditions of the only child born in the 1980s and 1990s, as an extraordinary generation for thousands of years. Without brothers and sisters, this group has become lone travelers who can only empathize with each other. You Yang's use of non-traditional materials and bright colors has formed a powerful visual impact, and the tremendous spiritual touch makes the beast in the viewer's heart come out. The pop-style artistic language interprets and expands the traditional majestic image of the tiger, telling You Yang's attitude of "living in the present." The cultural symbols of the new era often appear in his works. He believes that this is our most natural thing in the world.
You Yang is an artist born in the 1980s, from Liaoning.
