Uwe Komischke was born 1961 in Schwelm / NRW. After his music education, he began his career at 18 as a 1.Solo trumpet player in the City Orchestra of Gelsenkirchen. 1983 he moved to the same position with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra under Sergiu Celibidache. 1987 he received a Dozentur for trumpet at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. As a soloist Uwe Komischke is heard in numerous concerts in Germany and other countries and in concerts with the Munich Philharmonic under Sergiu Celibidache. He is well known among experts due to his many recordings on the radio and CDs. Famous Composer (Hans Stadlmai or Peter Michael Hamel) are writing for him.
He is very active in instrument design and plays only on instruments he has developed together with Norbert Axmann.
On the occasion of a master class at the SENZOKU GAKUEN University of music in Tokyo in April 1993, he was offered a guest professorship.
