Tim Walker "Ballad of Southern Alps" China Tour in Shenzhen
Auckland based singer/songwriter, Tim Walker is quietly making his presence felt in the New Zealand music arena.
His debut album “You/Me” is due for release in early December 2012 and showcases the 24-year-old’s emotive pop predilections and talent for tugging at the heartstrings.
Tim’s acoustic, folk-rock style draws inspiration from an eclectic group of artists, his favourites being Glen Hansard, Van Morrison and Damien Rice. These influences can be heard throughout the album submerged in beautiful melodies and wrapped around touching narratives.
As Tim Walker enters the next phase of his creative career, he is preparing for a new chapter in his music that will continue to connect every lonely and warm corner of the world with artistic expression that transcends language and geography.
This China tour is Tim Walker's first time in Asia. He will bring a number of his masterpieces, including ‘It Hurts the Heart’, as well as revealing several unreleased new songs for the first time. The concert will be performed in the most intimate format possible - acoustic guitars and voices only, face-to-face with the audience, listening to the voices of each other's hearts up close and personal. In this era of accelerated tempo and proliferation of expression, Tim's music is like a slow-motion camera falling in the night, inviting you to quietly look back at the soft corners of your heart in an hour's time.
