Born in the French Basque Country, Thomas Ospital has been the titular organist at Saint-Eustache Church in Paris since 2015. Between 2016 and 2019, Radio France appointed him the first organist in residence to play the new concert hall organ built by Grenzing.

As a concert artist, he performs worldwide as a soloist or with symphonic orchestras.

He has made two solo recordings, one with works of Franz Liszt and another with the repertoire of Bach and Thierry Escaich. He collaborates with the ensemble Dulci Jubilo, interpreting a repertoire of choral works with the organ. He completed a recording of the Quatre Suites sur le Magnificat of Jean-Adam Guilain, playing the organ of the Royal Chapel of Versailles by the label Château de Versailles Spectacles.

Between 2017 and 2023, he taught keyboard harmony at the National Higher Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris and has taught organ there since 2021.

Thomas Ospital began his music studies at the Conservatory of Bayonne with Esteban Landart. He continued at the National Higher Conservatory of Music in Paris with professors such as Olivier Latry, Michel Bouvard, Thierry Escaich, Philippe Lefebvre, Laszlo Fassang, Isabelle Duha, Pierre Pincemaille and Jean-François Zygel. Upon completing his studies, he obtained five top honours in organ, improvisation, harmony, counterpoint and fugue.

He has won numerous awards at international competitions, such as those of Saragossa, Chartres, Toulouse and Angers.
