Le Tartuffe by Nono Theatre makes its first visit to China
With a cast of young actors, Le Tartuffe is a contemporary tale of deception and lies that are more or less present in today's families.
The French Theatre Nono was founded in 1991. The company, formerly known as STYX, is a prestigious theatre company supported by the Ministry of Culture, the government of Hauts-de-Seine (92nd arrondissement), and the city of Châtillon (Paris suburbs), with the support of national and local governments.
Artistic Director Serge Noyer, who gained fame in France with his 1993 production of Macbeth, which was a sensation in Paris at the time, specialises in combining post-modern installations with traditional theatre performances in an original and unique way, making his works highly visual and visually appealing.
