The « Stephany Ortega Trio » is a new ensemble composed by the Dominican-Luxembourger soprano Stephany Ortega, Belgian accordionist Christophe Delporte, and French double bassist Adrien Tyberghein. Our goal is to create an original, appealing symbiosis between classical and popular music. We aim to intrigue and captivate our audience with a unique sound.

The trio has just released its first album, « Adiós Nonino » (Luxembourg Classics), which has been nominated by the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA), also by the Preis der Deutschen Shallplattenkritik, and has been honoured with the Supersonic Award by the Pizzicato Magazine:

" 'Authentic', is a much-overused word, but when the listener feels an instinctive connection between performer and material, the result is as unmistakable aura of authenticity ... the performances are first class ... She sings with temperament and passion, showing strong empathy and often deep insight into the lyrics and moods of the songs, which she diversifies well. The variety of colors, dynamics and other nuances make each of the sung songs an event, not least because of the highly intense accompaniment of the instrumentalists. The two expressive levels of tango - fiery sensuality and melancholy contemplation - are impressively realized. As a result, this album is a real surprise and an enormous enrichment of the Piazzolla discography."

Soprano: Stephany Ortega
"...Ms. Ortega is an extremely gifted coloratura soprano with a warm, powerful, and flexible sound, vey true intonation with seemingly little effort, and an immediacy of expressiveness that engaged the listener every moment." New York Concert Review at Carnegie Hall (2017).
