INTEGRATE is the first self-produced project launched by the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Center (CSIAF) under the ARTRA brand. Commissioned by CSIAF, internationally renowned choreographer, visual artist and director Shen Wei, together with more than 30 outstanding Chinese dancers, will present an immersive art scene that deeply integrates classical Chinese philosophy, contemporary art, and the art of dance.
INTEGRATE consists of three interwoven segments: the exhibition "All Beings Have Soul", which includes paintings, texts, photographs, and objects; the experimental video "Everything is Connected", which explores the relationship between the individual and the city through improvisational body movement; and the live performance "Heaven, Earth and Man as One", which combines installation, projection, sound, and dance, allowing the audience to move freely through it, viewing the works in a close-up and deeply immersive way. In Shen Wei's view, "INTEGRATE" is a future-oriented creation and exploration of new art forms.
The work has been evaluated by the media as "an art scene that amazes Shanghai's art practitioners and citizens who go to the performance," and "a work of art that opens up new sensory perceptions, opens up an understanding of the future, and creates a storm of innovation".
