Formula E (ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, abbreviated as FE) is the world's premier single-seater all-electric racing championship, often hailed as "the F1 of electric motorsport." Each season typically comprises no fewer than 16 rounds, held at venues that include several iconic circuits that have hosted F1 races, such as Monaco, Miami, Mexico City, and the Shanghai International Circuit.

FE and F1 represent the pinnacle of electric and petrol/hybrid racing, respectively. Since its inception in 2014, FE has attracted factory teams from leading automakers including Audi, BMW, Mercedes‑Benz, and Porsche. The series has also seen participation from former F1 drivers such as Felipe Massa, Jean‑Éric Vergne, and Sébastien Buemi.

In terms of technical performance, FE cars boast exceptional acceleration, approximately 30% quicker than F1 cars over certain performance metrics. The series also features a unique "Attack Mode," which drivers can activate by passing through a designated zone on the track to gain a temporary power boost. Additionally, FE employs a knockout-style qualifying format, which adds an extra layer of unpredictability and excitement to the racing.
