On December 31, 2024, the BBC EARTH "Blue Planet II" Audiovisual Concert was held at Beijing Poly Theatre, leading over 1,300 audience members on a deep-sea journey of dual "visual" and "auditory" enjoyment, creating a touching and unforgettable New Year's Eve.
On December 31, 2025, the BBC EARTH "Seven Worlds, One Planet" Audiovisual Concert will make a stunning return to the stage of Beijing Poly Theatre on New Year's Eve. The "national team" of symphony orchestras – China Film Orchestra – will deliver a soul-stirring live performance. The "King of Hollywood Film Scores" Hans Zimmer has crafted 9 legendary soundtracks for the concert. Accompanied by the narrative commentary adapted and delivered by the guest host, Director Huang Ying, the audience will enjoy 4K high-definition footage from what is hailed as "the greatest wildlife documentary in BBC history," embarking on a rare natural adventure to kick off your wonderful year 2026.
BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is undoubtedly the most authoritative name in the field of natural documentaries. Works such as "Planet Earth," "Blue Planet," and "Wild China" have all won recognition and love from audiences around the world with their breathtakingly beautiful visuals and profound connotations. The documentary "Seven Worlds, One Planet" continues the core theme of BBC's "Planet Series," focusing on the diverse forms of life across various continents. It explores these seven worlds to uncover the dramatic and surprising wildlife stories hidden in everyday life.

The British Daily Mail commented: "This film is visually spectacular, with cinematography so beautiful it borders on the abstract." The Guardian praised: "This documentary is magnificent and touching, simply breathtaking." It has even been hailed as "the greatest wildlife documentary in BBC history."
The creative team behind the documentary "Seven Worlds, One Planet" spent 4 years on the project, with over 1,500 people participating in filming and production. They visited more than 40 countries, used 4K and 8K filming equipment and professional sound recording systems, conducted 92 shoots, and accumulated 2,260.5 hours of footage. Finally, this 7-episode documentary masterpiece was condensed from all this effort. Each episode takes viewers to one continent to explore the wonderful animals and life stories there.

At the concert, the audience will embark on an exploratory journey through the "seven worlds" – from the colorful paradise of South America to the vast wilderness of Asia; from the harsh cold of Antarctica to the scorching deserts of Africa; and from North America, through Australia, to the familiar yet unfamiliar wildlife near Europe. With the seven continents as its framework, "Seven Worlds, One Planet" uses almost "miraculous" cinematography to reveal how each unique continent has shaped its own distinct animal life.
If the camera is the "eyes" of "Seven Worlds, One Planet," then the soundtrack co-created by Hans Zimmer – the "King of Hollywood Film Scores," who won two Oscars for "The Lion King" and "Dune" – and his team is the "heartbeat" injected into this documentary.
In "Blue Planet II" and "Planet Earth II," Hans Zimmer used music to enhance the emotional depth of natural documentaries without overshadowing the original beauty of nature. "‘Seven Worlds, One Planet’ is very different from previous documentary series – from a musical perspective, the characteristics of each continent will be reflected in the music," Hans Zimmer said. "This is not just a soundtrack; it is a sonic awakening – humanity must hear the cry of nature."

Furthermore, Hans Zimmer collaborated with Australian singer-songwriter Sia to create the theme song "Out There" for "Seven Worlds, One Planet." At this concert, Wang Zining – a young singer from the China Broadcasting Art Troupe and the 2015 annual champion of CCTV's "Avenue of Stars" – will deliver a soulful female vocal performance. Paired with the grand and powerful performance by the China Film Orchestra and the magnificent, vibrant scenery presented in 4K high-definition footage, this will convey the deepest call and tribute to our planet.
All stage photos are from past performances. The actual performance and program list are subject to on-site changes.
