Philadelphia native, Pink Sweat$, is an American R&B/soul singer, songwriter, and producer. He's quietly building a name for himself with songs like “Honesty"“Would You" and “Body Ain't Me." His sound consists primarily of vocals and guitar. Pink Sweat$ is managed by Thrice Cooked Media and he's affiliated with the label Human Re Sources. Given name, David Bowden, he was born on February 14 1992, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was brought upin a God-fearing household. Though Bowden favors the guitar, he also learned the drums at a young age. Bowden wasn't exposed to a wide variety of music until his late teen years. He began pursuing music seriously after a 3-year long battle with achalasia (cardiospasm) When asked, he cited music greats like Prince, Michael Jackson and Kanye West as artists he admired.

 

Bowden was given the “Pink Sweat$" moniker based on the fact he only wore pink sweatpants to his recording sessions. He started his career in the music industry as a songwriter. His first recording session was conducted at the 'Sigma Sound Studios' with him as a demo vocalist. Pink Sweat$' songwriting credits includes "Guns and Roses" (performed by Aaron Camper) and "child Please" & "Pretty Ugly" (performed by Tierra Whack). He's also written for Rosie Bondz and Natalie lmani.

 

Pink sweat$ released his debut single "Honesty" in July 2018. The track was produced by Thrice Cooked Media. it attracted 5+ milion spins on SoundCloud and the official video has been viewed north of 25 milion times. Honesty rose to #23 on Spotify's Global Viral chart. lt also sparked a remix version by Khary. Sweat$'s second single "NoReplacing You" was also released in july 2018. His debut EP, Volume 1. arrived in November 2018. in addition to theafore mentioned 2 singles, the project features songs "Would You", "Cocaine", "Call Me" and "Drama.

In March 2019, Pink Sweat$ served up his second EP, Volume 2. it was led by the song "Body Ain't Me", co-written byAdam Loewentheil. The project also featured parts 1 & 2 of his "Coke and Henny" single. in early October 2019,Sweat$ performed at the ACL Music Festival in Zilker Park, Austin, Texas. His collaborative single "l Wanna Be Yours'with Korean singer Crush was released later that month. Pink sweat$' upcoming debut studio album is titled 'PinkPlanet.
