Children all over the world probably know the character of Peter Pan – a boy with hair like a haystack, who lives in the fantastic Neverland and refuses to grow up. The Darlings siblings know him, too – Wendy and her younger brother John.
During one of his over-night visits, Peter takes them to his island of dreams. Not even their dog Nana can guard them. Peter introduces Wendy and John to a band of the Lost Boys, a miraculous fairy Tinker Bell and an Indian chief’s daughter – Tiger Lily.
On the island, new friends go through lots of amazing adventures. But the great time they are having is spoiled by a group of mean pirates led by Captain Hook. Of course, in the end, the good beats the evil.
The History of Puppetry in Kragujevac
The history of puppetry in Kragujevac started in October 11th 1994, when the 1st International Puppet Festival of small forms was held. On that date, for the first time, the creators, who express the wealth of creating and using the puppetry form, gathered in the First Serbian Theatre "Joakim Vuic".
The following year one more festival was held but for the next one, we had to wait for five years. The next festival took place in 2012 under the name "Golden Sparkle". As the years passed, the quality increased and with it the interest of children.
