Debuted in 2007 as the Ohashi Trio. As another facet of their work, they are also active as writers of music for TV dramas, commercials and films.
His representative works include the films The Bride with One Month to Live (2009), The Lightning Cherry Tree (2010) and P and JK (2005). Recently, he has also composed music for the NHK E-TV children's programme ‘Nyanbo’ and the theme music for the TBS programme ‘World Heritage’.
In May 2009, they made their major label debut as Ohashi Trio on Avex Rhythm Zone.
In May the same year, they won the semi-grand prize at the first CD SHOP Awards. Their major label debut album A BIRD was a power play on 20 FM stations and became a smash hit in many parts of the country.
In November, they released their first major label album, I Got Rhythm? It reached No. 1 on the overall album chart on iTunes as soon as it was released.
In March 2010, she released her first cover album, FAKE BOOK, and her cover of Kaientai's ‘Gift Words’ attracted a lot of attention.
In the film The Lightning Tree (starring Yu Aoi and Masaki Okada, directed by Ryuichi Hiroki), which was released in October of the same year, she also wrote the music for the film in general and for inserts.
In November, she released her long-awaited major second album NEWOLD as a CD with a picture book.
The picture book co-written with a popular picture book author (tupera tupera) and the music with participation by Torayasu Hotei attracted attention.
In 2011, he produced a single coupling song for Miki Imai, provided and arranged a song for Arisa Mizuki (lyrics by Kyoko Koizumi) in June and participated in the 30th anniversary album of Torayasu Hotei with a cover of ‘Last Scene’ in August.
In the same year, they performed at the FUJI ROCK FES, one of the biggest rock festivals in Japan. The packed FIELD OF HEAVEN is completely mesmerised.
In December, they release two original albums, ‘R’ and ‘L’, simultaneously.
In early 2012, the music for the drama ‘Hungry!’ starring Osamu Mukai. starring Osamu Mukai.
In March, he released his annual cover series FAKE BOOK Ⅲ.
He has also provided the BEAMS campaign song and the JTB HAWAI song.
In September, she released a collaborative album White, which includes collaboration songs with Ken Hirai, Akiko Yano and others.
In March 2013, he released a new rock album titled ‘plugged’, which challenges his own new frontiers.
In the summer, he went on his own solo tour and participated in rock festivals across the country, including SUMMER SONIC and ROCK IN JAPAN FES.
He also worked on the music for the drama series ‘Starman: This Star's Love’ (starring Ryoko Hirosue and directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi), which went on-air from July, and covered David Bowie's ‘Starman’ as a song in the drama.
Following this work, he released his first Christmas/Winter-themed concept album, Magic, in November.
In 2014, they released their first BEST album, marking the end of the first chapter of the Ohashi Trio, and the following year, 2015, they found themselves in new territory with the album ‘PARODY’, which was a further musical adventure. On 3 June, they released their first live album ‘ohashiTrio & THE PRETAPORTERS 2014’.
