Conductor: LÜ Jia
The Chinese conductor LÜ Jia's work has received great acclaim internationally. Born into a musical family in Shanghai, LÜ began studying piano and cello at a very young age. He later studied conducting at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, under the tutelage of esteemed conductor ZHENG Xiaoying.
 
 
At the age of 24, LÜ entered the University of Arts in Berlin, where he continued his studies under Professor Hans-Martin Rabenstein and Robert Wolf. The following year, he was awarded both the First Prize and Jury’s Prize at the Antonio Pedeotti International Conducting Competition in Trento, Italy, and launched his career as a conductor.
 
LÜ Jia was the first Chinese conductor to record Felix Mendelssohn’s complete orchestral works, and also the only conductor so far who has recorded the complete works by the important Swedish composer Ingvar Lidholm.
 
In 2012, LÜ Jia was appointed Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of Opera at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing, China.
 
In 2017, LÜ Jia has been appointed as Artistic Director of Music of the NCPA, Music Director and Chief Conductor of China NCPA Orchestra.

Flugelhornist: Gabor Boldoczki
“The trumpet also can play Belcanto…purest Belcanto with sparkling clean polished top-notes were given off by the Hungarian Boldoczki on his trumpet”, Michael Dellith from the Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung wrote after Gábor Boldoczki´s concert at the Alte Oper, Frankfurt.
 
The Hungarian Gábor Boldoczki with his brilliant play is the exceptional trumpeter of his generation. The international press also calls him a magnificent trumpet virtuoso.
 
 
Clarinetist: Paul Meyer
Ever since his dazzling success in 1982 at the age of 17, as laureate of the prestigious Eurovision Contest and Young Concert Artist in New-York, Paul Meyer never ceases to surprise.
 
His recognition as a conductor, based on a profound understanding and experience of orchestral work, rapidly led him to conduct major chamber and symphony orchestras amongst which the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Brussels Philharmonic, Hamburger Sinfoniker, Tonkünstler Niederösterreich, etc.
 
 
Bassoonist: Gilbert Audin
Gilbert Audin is bassoon soloist at the Orchestre du Théâtre National de l’Opéra de Paris, and teaches in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. This ambassador of the French bassoon and of its prestigious school is wanted all over the world for master classes and international academies.
 
 
Oboist: LIU Mingjia
LIU Mingjia is the principal oboe performer of the San Francisco Opera, professor at the Colburn School of Music and vice chairman of the International Double Reed Society. During his study in the USA, LIU Mingjia showed his excellent performing skills and expressiveness. He was invited to the Aspen Music Festival and Colorado Music Festival.
 
 
Violinist: Siqing Lu
In great demand as concert violinist in his native land China and abroad, Siqing Lu bursted onto the international music stage when he became the first Asian violinist to capture the first prize at the prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition in Italy in 1987. Long recognized as one of the most outstanding Chinese violinists, Siqing has performed to acclaim in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls in more than 40 countries and territories worldwide.
