The National Ballet of China was founded in December 1959, bringing together first-rate artistic talents from professional schools and colleges.Under the auspices of the government and different sectors of society, the troupe builds on the Russian School of Ballet while keeping learning widely from diverse schools styles. It has introduced an array of world classical works.

 

 

For more than half a century, the troupe has made remarkable achievements in cultivating talents, building repertoire, as well as popularizing and educating on the ballet. Some of its ballet, musical and stage design artists have even won prizes in diverse international competitions to join the ranks of world-class stars.

 

As a renowned ballet company with international prestige, the troupe serves as a cultural ambassador and an important gateway to Chinese artistic sensibility facing the outside world, and is sparing no efforts to give finer performances at home with outreach activities on campuses, in communities and at middle and primary schools. The Chief Executive and Artistic Director is FENG Ying.
