50th Anniversary Symphonic Dance Concert
The Russian Red Army Song and Dance Troupe was founded in 1973, and to this day upholds, maintains and develops the high artistic level of song, dance and music of the former Soviet Army.
The head of the troupe, artistic director - the Russian People's Artist Yeliseyev from the Song and Dance Troupe from its inception to the present day has gone through a soldier to the general to the extraordinary journey.
The Russian Red Army Song and Dance Troupe consists of a 100-member choir, dance troupe, orchestra and more than 20 military soloists who are renowned in Russia. 1993 the troupe was awarded the title of academy, and more than 20 of its performers have been awarded many honourable titles by the state. For more than 40 years, the Russian Red Army Song and Dance Troupe has toured more than 70 countries around the world, and its rich programme content as well as its exquisite artistry in Russian and other foreign musical works have made the Troupe a world-renowned success and won the hearts of audiences from all over the world.
In the 20 years since 1995, the Russian Red Army Troupe has toured China 15 times, performing in Beijing, Shanghai and most of China's provincial capitals, each time with complete success, welcomed and loved by audiences all over China, and leaving the audience with an extremely deep and wonderful impression.


At the beginning of the New Year in 2025, the Russian Red Army Song and Dance Troupe will appear on stage at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, presenting a large-scale symphonic song and dance concert with a rich and varied content, bringing a number of popular Russian classics, including Sacred War, Artillery Song, Cranberry Blossom, Volga Boatmen's Song, etc. In addition, singers from Russia will also sing Chinese songs such as Song of the Yangtze River, Song of the Good Man, etc. The unique ‘Russian interpretation’ is refreshing.
