Little Football Stars Dulwich College Minhang is a football coaching program with a unique way of teaching football skills to pre-school children (ages 3-6) and their parents.

 

With children and their parents learning together as a team, Little Football Stars promotes fun interaction between parent and child, nurtures parent-child bonding and brings football culture into the home which together is scientifically proven to improve their personal development and motor skills with a football.

 

Little Football Stars instruction is conducted only by fluent English speaking coaches (with Chinese translation where required) so it is also an opportunity for parents and their children to practice English together in a relaxed, active setting.

 

 

 

There is a proven link between physical education and intellectual development, and this is something that has long been recognized in Western educational systems as an essential part of a child’s development as well as promoting physical health, team spirit and social interaction.

 

Little Football Stars strengthens the bonds between parent and child, at the same time as teaching core football skills and the love of the game to children and their parents.

Little Football Stars uses all foreign, fluent English speaking coaches. There is now great interest in China as a football coaching destination and this allows us to carefully select from a large pool of qualified candidates. Therefore, all our coaches hold English FA or equivalent UEFA & FIFA coaching certification and have had experience teaching children.

 

All our coaches receive unique training for the challenges of our Program including safeguarding best practices, psychological training, in addition we enforce a strict code of conduct.

 

Little Football Stars coaches are carefully selected and vetted in their home country as well as the last country in which they worked.

 

Little Football Stars coaches use psychology to manage all training activities and are prohibited from using any type of aggressive behavior or language in relation to any child or parent.

 

Little Football Stars coaches and/or teaching assistants are all trained in first-aid and there will be first-aid equipment and supplies at each venue.

 

 

No football coaching certification focuses on pre-school children or coaching parents and children together. Therefore, Little Football Stars has reinvented cutting-edge football coaching and has given its coaches unique training in pre-school teaching methods and parent-child psychology. We will also employ Chinese pre-school teacher’s assistants to give our foreign coaches linguistic and child management support.

 

 

Little Football Stars treats the security of our children, their parents and our employees as our first priority. Our operational and coaching protocols include a risk assessment of every venue to ensure it first satisfies our requirements for a secure and safe environment as well as being suitable and convenient for our program.

 

Even under the most controlled circumstances, accidents do happen and Little Football Stars holds a sporting activity public liability insurance policy for such eventualities.

 

Coaches will be required to follow an accident prevention and response protocol, which will: performing a safety and security risk assessment on every venue and conducting pre-class checks in order proactively to avoid risk.

 

Coaches and their assistants will be trained in first aid and/or knowledge of how to deal with on-site injuries or emergencies.

 

All parents will be provided with sports-focused medical referral contact details should anything be alarming or concerning outside of practice sessions.

 

 

Each class shall consist of no more than 10 children each accompanied by one parent. There will be one coach and one teacher’s assistant per class.

 

Our coaches will come to every session with the equipment that they need for the session. All the equipment used is tailored for the children participating and therefore will result in the most effective training and reduce the risk of injury.

 

At the first class, each child will be provided with a kit consisting of a Size 3 football, a football jersey, football socks, football shorts, and a water bottle.

 

Parents will be provided with a matching jersey and both parents and children will be required to wear trainers or sports shoes.

 

Parents are encouraged to provide their child with water rather than soft drinks or other beverages.

 

Our facilities are all-weather and so whatever the weather outside or pollution reading, we have the use of indoor facilities with regulated air to ensure that sessions can continue as usual.

 

Little Football Stars is committed to providing a fun and effective football learning experience for both parents and children in a secure environment. We will equip children with more than just football skills and will motivate parents and children to work together to develop their interest in football for years to come.
