LANY (/ˈleɪni/; stylized in all caps, an acronym for "Los Angeles New York") is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, formed in Nashville in 2014.
The band consists of Paul Jason Klein and Jake Clifford Goss.
With the arrival of their debut EP Acronyms, the group was able to create their own identity online. Songs like ILYSB, Made in Hollywood and Bad, Bad, Bad would further cement that idea. In 2015 they embarked on a tour and opened for acts like Halsey. Soon followed an EP called I Loved You and they were invited to be part of Lollapalooza festival. LANY’s following was starting to grow as they hit the road and toured with Ellie Goulding and Halsey amongst others.

In 2015, they were signed to Polydor Records and released a 3rd EP titled Make Out. The project included several re-releases such as ILYSB which became an online hit, garnering approximately 14 million streams. The group was able to head for a tour of their own in 2016, followed by a single release Where the Hell Are My Friends. That single was just a taste from their 4th EP kinda. It was later supported by a tour called Kinda Tour for the remainder of 2016. In 2017 LANY revealed the date of their self-titled debut album in June. The first lead single was released in March as Good Girls. Preceeded will be the songs It Was Love The Breakup and 13.
