In 2023, The KVB will return to China as the first overseas tour after a three-year hiatus due to the epidemic that affected City Sound.
Fans of post-punk music are more or less familiar with the UK-based duo of synthesizer darkwave bands. The KVB are a duo of industrial darkwave, mechanical and cold, and ambient psychedelic, dreamy and romantic, two very different temperaments combined in their music, cold and warm.
When you see The KVB live for the first time, you're bound to think of bands like Suicide and New Order. Their music sounds like a mix of Kraftwerk and Spacemen3. Mechanical, gloomy, cold industrial undercurrents form the shell of the music, while the guitars distort and roar, the synths lay down a psychedelic base and the vocals murmur, exploding into a surge of emotions within the shell.
The KVB was formed in Nicholas Wood's bedroom in Southampton in 2010, when the band was still a solo project, and the duo continued in 2011 when girlfriend Kat Day joined the band on keyboards. Their debut full-length album 'Always Then' was released in 2012 under Clan Destine Records, and the album's minimalist synths and beat arrangements, sensitive and subtle lyrics and unique album visuals immediately became a recognisable label for the band.
This summer, let's meet at the venue and weave a round of psychedelic experience with music and visuals, leading everyone who comes to the venue into a dizzying dream world unique to The KVB.
