Laughing with tears. Heart-breaking mime work, well-acclaimed by international theatre festivals around the world. An award-winning masterpiece that is both sad and funny.
Andre and Dorine has toured extensively to over 30 countries and 18 international theatre festivals worldwide. It is one of the most popular theater works in China and is highly recommended by the Chinese media!
In a quiet small room sit an elderly couple and their son when an event comes to break the monotony. The cello playing recalls merry times at a young age. The mime work, without words, embraces the reality of human experience.
Performance: Kulunka Teatro
Kulunka Teatro was created in the Basque Country, Spain, in 2010 by Garbiñe Insausti and Jose Dault: young but widely experienced theater career artists.
This performance stems from the desire of the group's members to experiment with different stage languages, relying on a stage that is itself a meeting point between different artistic disciplines.
This comes together without forgetting the idea of making theatre accessible to the wider public. An idea of theatre that is vibrant, contemporary, committed and connected to reality.
