Wink Vastine Thomas Pettis is a passionate and unique saxophonist and jazz singer with over 30 years of experience. Educated and musically inclined from an early age, he was involved in local black church and club choirs. The richness of black music inspired his musical talent, which is still the source of inspiration for his compositions and performances until recently. Wink started learning to play saxophone at the age of 12, and has been a leader in his school band since he was a child, and over the years, his solid basic skills coupled with his innate musical talents have made him a popular saxophone player among all those who have heard him play. Wink also produced songs for Will Downinus' last two albums. They completed a UK-US-Japan tour with Acid jazz guru Roy Ayers, and in 1992, the Hong Kong music scene in full swing brought Wink to Hong Kong, and since then he has had a close relationship with Hong Kong, composing/arranging and touring with many of Hong Kong's most famous singers, including Jacky Cheung, Lam Tze Cheung, Lin Yi-Lin, Vincent So, Dexter Yip, Cynthia Yip, Will Downinus and many others, They are: Jacky Cheung, Lin Zixiang, Lin Yilian, Raymond So, Deanie Ip, Cynthia Yip, Chow Wah Kin, Leon Lai, Derek To, Maltreated, Coco Lee, Eason Chan, Aaron Kwok, Andy Hui, Joey Yung, Elva Siu, and so on.
