Jugend Jazz Orchester Saar, which has been a factory for the cultivation of top talent in the field of Jazz music by the Saar River for more than 20 years, provides opportunities for the talented young musicians to explore various styles of orchestral jazz. The selection of ensemble members has always been the tradition of selecting students for the national great bands. Due to its artistic ambition and teaching direction, Jugend Jazz Orchester Saar also represents the important complement of the University Program in the field of Big Band Jazz.

 

 

By familiarizing young musicians with the special sound structures of Jazz bands and introducing them to the diversity of their styles, it cultivates and promotes the growth of these talented musicians, even provides opportunities for the musicians to improve the ensemble and expand the skills of improvisation. In the two annual work stages and regular daily rehearsal, young instrumentalists and singers have the opportunity to participate in the work of big bands under the guidance of experiences Jazz masters. In addition to carefully managing and maintaining the traditional style of Big Band Jazz, they are also beginning to follow current trends, seeking to meet with like-minded people, and cooperating with cross-border projects in other artistic forms.

 

As the representative of Saarland, Jugend Jazz Orchester Saar regards itself as the messenger of the great orchestral jazz of the federal government both domestically and internationally. Last but not least, the Orchester hopes to open to more new audiences, and contributes to the development of jazz as an equal form of art.
