Shogun's Shadow: A Journey to the Middle Kingdom is a cross-cultural jazz feast, featuring the first performance in China by Japanese pianist and piano professor Dr. Masayoshi Ishikawa. The work blends traditional Japanese harmony with modern jazz improvisation, exploring themes of cultural heritage, identity, and artistic expression through original compositions. The performance will create a musical dialogue between China and Japan, presenting an artist's spiritual journey that bridges cultural boundaries through music.
