This tour focuses on the plight of the Jews that managed to escape to Shanghai from Nazi Europe.
During the tour, your native English speaking guide will show you the area in which the Japanese confined the Jews, explain what their lives were like living in their ghetto, and give case studies that illustrate how they survived and maintained their dignity.
Highlights include the Broadway Theatre, an introduction to the game of Carom, the home of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and a tour of the excellent Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum.
