The Bedstars (BJ)
Founded in 2009, The Bedstars is a four-person punk band. As a legacy of the D-22 bar, their "bad name" on the performance scene has already spread throughout the independent music circle in Beijing. In such a popular folk song and wavering era, the pure punk voice flowing in the bones of The Bedstars in the 1970s is rare.
"Sometimes like a raging dragon surfing, sometimes like mud on the wall," is the best summary of the Bedstars site. Nevertheless, it is impossible to conceal the rich arrangement and melodies in their music. Their music is a good companion for drinking in summer night.
The strong hormonal breath will arouse the listener's memory and nostalgia for youth. The Bedstars have become enthusiastic fans of the chaotic and chaotic passion of the scene, which makes everyone happy to return at the same time.
In the impression of many music fans, "Bedstar" is never heartless, always drunk, full of accidents, but they are also the most real, unrestrained, young, no sadness. Perhaps their charm comes from their indifference. Once they start performing, they don't care about rules, typhoons, the world outside Livehouse, and the fate of tomorrow.
It's only at this moment that they feel the most important. The core of their music is full of freedom and romantic spirit. Their outstanding lyrics and songs, compilation and skilled performing skills are absolutely the strong support of their arbitrary scene.
Dream Can (SH)
The Valley Workshop was set up in 2014, and the three performers'performances are a perfect mix of drowning hallucinations and introspective melancholy independent rock and roll. Every member of the band is a talented musician.
For a band that has only been established for four years, the tacit understanding and skillfulness of Gushui Workshop in its performance are impressive. Of course, their charm comes not only from their skills. Musically, Gushui Workshop inherits the crazy and pioneering voice of pioneers like Acid Mother Temple.
The lyrics are full of Joy Division's harsh tone of observation of modern life. They use music to dissent from the prosperity of China in the new era and to accompany the underground youth who seek meaning in the dream-like chaotic reality.
