LA VIE BRÈVE

Synopsis：

A new work by la vie brève company (2024), featured in the main program of the 2025 Avignon Festival.

A tiny puppet theatre brings to life a French fantasy that soars to the farthest reaches of the universe.

No high-tech, no screens, no machines—only the actors and actresses’ bodies and souls, and a dismantled piano on stage.

This little "battered" theatre, this box of poetry, is brought to life by a small troupe of "wounded" actors and actresses, they are elegant, yet we sense they have broken arms, bandaged heads and legs in plaster. This dying troupe enters with this little puppet theatre and makes it "dance", brings it to life, fills it with cobbled-together images, producing a dance of the planets and a storm, a shipwreck.
