FRANZ SCALA
Franz sets are as diverse as the music he curates on Slow Motion. Weaving smoothly between Italian Dance, Proto House, Cosmic and Psychedelic Disco House, Franz quickly turns the dance floor into a vignette-tainted retro nostalgia rave fueled only by his music and Cuba Libre he likes to consume whilst behind the decks.
Franz is the head of Slow Motion, an Italian dance label based in Berlin. Aside from producing on his own imprint, he has releases on World Unknown, Tusk Wax and Bordello a Parigi and with his side project Studio Luce on Cocktail d´Amore Music. Franz also promotes many events around the German capital such as the monthly Wrong Era parties, New Dance Fantasy or Magic Waves Festival.
Altieri
Eugenio Altieri is an Italian producer/designer based in Shanghai. He's the host of the successful ITALIAN DANCE WAVE parties at Dada Shanghai, Tokyo and BBerlin-basedon Italo Disco, one of the greatest dance genres ever. Starting with that as the seed, they're getting into Chicago house, slow disco, and more contemporary genres.
Ever since Eugenio met house music in the early 90s at the famous Disco NNC in Naples the two became inseparable. In 2004 he started to play with machines and samples mixing his passion for music with his visual attitude. He created many audio/video projects and worked on several ‘Weirdo Production’ sessions.
After finishing his design studies, he moved to Shanghai where he founded the DesToys duo together with Luxx, a live project influenced by horror, space disco and American 80’s TV commercials. In 2015 “Altieri” was born. This solo project is influenced by the Dark Side of house, new wave and obscure disco, but its key inspiration is daily life itself.

I.D.W. ASIA takes the discussion to the next level, while tracing a line of continuity through the years where the dance floor exploded (thanks to Moroder, Baldelli, Alexander Robotnick), through the clubs between the '70s and '80s that were awakened in Italy, they're getting into Chicago house, slow disco, and more contemporary genres.
