From Broadway to the World of Manga Adaptations—His Melodies Are "Poisonous"
He is a legend who taught himself to play the piano. Before stepping into the theater, Frank Wildhorn was already a master songwriter crafting hits for global pop superstars—including the one that gave Whitney Houston her seventh consecutive Billboard Hot 100 No. 1, Where Do Broken Hearts Go.
When he crossed over into musical theater with his pop-honed sensibilities, he gave birth to timeless masterpieces like Jekyll & Hyde that have captivated countless theater fans worldwide. In 1999, Wildhorn made history as the first American composer in 22 years to have three shows—Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and The Civil War—running simultaneously on Broadway.
In recent years, Wildhorn has turned his gaze to Asia, breaking through the "dimensional wall" to infuse manga-to-stage adaptations like Your Lie in April and Ribbon Knight with a soulful rhythmic blend of classical elegance and pop-rock vitality.

Music, Like Love, Knows No Borders
"Music, like love, knows no borders."
— Frank Wildhorn
From North America to Europe to Asia, Wildhorn's music is performed and beloved on stages in different languages.
Whether it's the split personas of Jekyll and Hyde, the lonely Count Dracula, or the Laughing Man branded with a grin by fate… Wildhorn uses deeply emotional melodies to bring intense dramatic conflicts to life, vividly portraying the ache of love, the tearing apart of identity, and the sacrifice of self, while perfectly heightening the atmosphere of destiny. With his music, he builds a bridge—a vital emotional link between the stage and the audience's souls.
