The 2018 Dragon Fighting Championship will be held at Shanghai Baoshan Indoor Stadium on July 21. The mixed martial arts competition made its debut in Shanghai two years ago.

 

 

According to founder Cai Jialong, the championship was named after the dragon to showcase its aim of promoting the sport among the Chinese, who are nicknamed as descendants of the dragon. Russia’s Romanchuk Mikhail has confirmed his participation, along with Chinese fighters Kong Handong, Ding Miao, Wang Anying and Meng Bo.

 

 

Russian MMA Union president Fedor Emelianenko and American MMA fighter Josh Barnett will attend the event as guests. The field for the main fight is yet to be announced.
