Immersive & Interactive Baby Concert: The Ocean

Produced by DKS Shanghai and Dominic Harlan, composer of the Royal Conservatory of Music, the immersive interactive classical music enlightenment series Baby Concert: The Ocean for babies aged 0-6 with the theme of marine environmental protection.

Since its premiere last summer, the concert has gained a lot of praise from many mothers.

Adhere to the original intention, focus on customizing music enlightenment series performances for families aged 0-6, escape from the traditional performance form of mirror frame, and create a full sensory immersion stage design integrating people and music.

The powerful bass, clear and beautiful Clarinet and Piano tracks recorded by music director Dominic Harlan London will gradually bring the audience from the sunny sea into the colorful underwater world.

Feel the beauty of the ocean and listen to the sound of the ocean in the sometimes lively, sometimes melodious and lingering classical music

Vol.1

All manual & recyclable & play music

The whole performance can be recycled ♻️ Materials, all hand-made, those lifelike underwater creatures on the stage.

These props have been recycled and used in all sizes of plastic, more than 100 large and small cartons, cardboard bags and more than 10 feet of cloth.

They have been made for more than 240 hours, which is the creative concept of this concert.

In a short 45 minute concert, these recycled materials are used to make self-made marine props and musical instruments to play, so as to obtain the touch of music in an interactive way.

The baby can also accompany the world famous music

The note game sent by the professor of the Royal Conservatory of music from London, fill the glass with colorful water, integrate into the Enlightenment of classical music, and use the glass to accompany the world famous music.

After the baby comes home from the performance, maybe he can start concerting classical music himself.

The performer will lead the babies to discover the sound in the water, explore and create, feel the original inspiration of master Tan Dun's creation of water music, and give full play to the children's infinite imagination to make the music more interesting.

Rhythm interaction saves the little dolphin

A lively and naughty little dolphin named amid woke up vaguely in the morning and began a rhythmic adventure in the music originally composed by Dom, the music director.

Accidentally caught in the fishing net, it can be saved only when all the babies use the power of rhythm.

The safety of the little dolphin depends on everyone.

The beauty of music is the seed planted in the hearts of children.

Music enlightenment is not just to enjoy and play, nor to educate, but to create opportunities for children to find their own inner resonance in the emotional experience of music.

After growing up, children will eventually need to face setbacks and difficulties alone, and the power of music will accompany them through every day of depression and hesitation, accompany and help them grow up.

DOMINIC HARLAN

Arranger and Music Art Producer

Dominic Harlan, a piano artist, composer, actor and music educator, graduated from the Royal Conservatory of music.

Dominic made his piano solo debut at wegmore hall in 1997. Since then, he has made a global personal piano tour in Japan, North America, India and continental Europe.

At the same time, he has also recorded his own music album and has been invited by the BBC to perform live on the radio for many times.

In 2002, he became the music director of streetwise opera house. At the same time, he also worked in music workshops at the Royal Opera House and other famous British music performing theaters.

The story background of the concert

Under the warm sunshine, waves gently kiss the reef, making people feel as if they are on a quiet and gentle beach.

Some melodies came from afar.

Suddenly, the soft beach under our feet turned into a reef at the bottom of the sea.

Will the ocean we arrived at now be calm and peaceful, or mysterious and profound?

This will be decided by the artist and the children! What message will the ocean creatures dancing with the notes convey?
