The first “masculine” original cotemporary Mongolian dance. Created through a collaboration between a top 10 winner of Chinese “So You Think You Can Dance” and famous dancers from the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater.

An immersive visual and audio feast that brings you directly to the Mongolian grassland.

Blue Trace
Blue Trace is also called Mongolian trace. It is a special group solely composed of Mongolians. Blue Trace is a unique symbol of Mongolian culture, just like the spirit flowing in their blood: perseverance, honesty and sincerity.

Introduction
Blue Trace is a contemporary Mongolian dance drama first directed by Xi Siriguleng in 2014. Audiences experienced it for the first time in 2016 and the show was performed more than 40 times in 2 years. What attracts the audience most is the strong masculine energy as there are no female dancers in it.

At the same time, the audience is drawn in by the rituals of traditional Mongolian ceremonies. The drama not only gives people a brand new perspective on the contradiction between modern city life and the natural hometown but also the answer to how to rediscover oneself and atone.

Story

Blue Trace tells the story of a Mongolian young man achieving self-salvation and regaining his confidence in his high-pressure life. He got lost in his mind and felt lonely when he came to a modern city where was far away from his hometown—the Mongolian grassland.

The ghosts moved around him all the time and he was nearly corrupted. One day in the dreamless dream, he went back to the grassland. He met many close friends and the mother of the land, he felt the power of Mongolian spirits and rediscovered his faith in life. As he woke up, he was not afraid of life, the future, and loneliness anymore.

Ground-breaking Choreography, Immersive Visual and Audio Feast

Music - The drama uses not only ethnic music but also world music and experimental and electronic music. The theme song features vocal Hurizha from renowned Mongolian band Hanggai.

Costume - Designed by pioneer fashion designers and hand made by craftsmen, the costumes keep every character authentic.

Stage - The creative stage setting by a cutting-edge stage designer puts the audience in a real grassland atmosphere with its special stage, lighting and sound effects and gives people an extraordinary experience.

Actors
Blue Trace company gathers a group of excellent young dancers from the grassland. Their bodies show the masculine beauty of the Mongolian man. The vast grassland gives them a big heart and a broad shoulder, as well as passion and sensibility for art. The power running through the veins of the Mongolian people is the foundation of their creations. The Blue Trace dance team embodies the boldness, braveness and tenderness of their homeland in their performances and brings Mongolian dance to the whole world.
