Bernhard Schüler born 19th of September 1979 in Kassel, Germany. He started his musical education by taking piano lessons at the age of 7.
 
 
With 15 he began to compose and arrange his first original compositions. In 1995 he founded his first own band (BASAR) As saxophone player, bandleader and composer he was quite successful with this group. He became regional and national winner of the German jazz competition "Jugend jazzt" 1996 and 1999. In 1999 and 2001 he won the same competition with Triosence as well. From 1996 until 2000 he was member of the "Landesjugendjazzorchesters Hessen" (=Youth Jazz Orchestra of Hessen)
 
Within the 2nd national jazz competition "Jugend jazzt" he was decorated with a Solo prize by the "Deutscher Musikrat" (=German Music Assosciation) for his playing. In 2000 he received the first prize in the Solo competition for Jazz piano of "Jugend jazzt" also.
 
From 1999 to 2004 he studied jazz piano at the Cologne Music Conservatory with Hubert Nuss (Germany) and John Taylor (England).
 
 
 
In 2003 he started his other band "Endymion" with the Cologne singer Kathrin Scheer. With original songs for this band he succeeded twice in reaching the finals of the American song contest "song of the year".
In spring 2004 he graduated at the Cologne Music Conservatory and was accepted for studying "Konzertexamen" (~making once master degree)
