By creating contemporary chamber music of different genres and combinations, and by taking advantage of the excellent acoustics and the warm and welcoming environment of the Shanghai Opera House, we present a "concert in a room". Only one work will be performed in this concert, a work that is unique in its form throughout Bach's career. It was composed for a Count who suffered from severe insomnia and who has since called it "his" variation, indulging himself in listening to it and saying, "Dear Goldberg, please play some of my variations" every time a sleepless night comes......
