Molière, le spectacle musical, the original French musical, premiered in Paris in 2023. The show features a groundbreaking fusion of rap, urban music, and modern street dance to tell the story of the French playwright Molière, bringing his life to the stage with extraordinary vividness through stunning theatrical performances. Written and composed by Dove Attia, the creator of renowned French musicals such as Mozart, l'opéra rock and Le Roi Soleil, the production brings together a top-tier French creative team. It offers not only rich entertainment but also a modern tribute to France's cultural heritage. Since its premiere, the musical has quickly embarked on a nationwide tour across France, with over 160 performances — many of them sold out — and has been seen by more than 500,000 audience members. It received seven awards at the 2024 Les Trophées de la Comédie Musicale, including Best Musical, and was also nominated for Best Musical at the 2024 Molières Awards, cementing its status as a new blockbuster in the French musical theatre landscape. In 2026, Molière, le spectacle musical will return with more of its original French cast, once again unveiling the theatrical dream of this genius playwright.

Synopsis
In 1642, Jean-Baptiste Poquelin was 20 years old. Driven by his passion for theatre, he gave up the fame and fortune of being a royal upholsterer and founded a theatre troupe with the woman he loved. The road to success was long and arduous: Molière paid a heavy price for his freedom, facing the hypocrisy and hostility of many enemies along the way. Yet he persevered and became a free-spirited playwright who revolutionized theatre. In 1673, Molière collapsed onstage during a performance of his comedy *The Imaginary Invalid* at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal in Paris, bringing the curtain down on the life of one of France's greatest dramatists.
