Zhang Weiwei is one of the leading Chinese folk singers and has been in and around the Chinese music scene for decades. First as a member of Chinese folk band named “Ye Hai Zi” (Wild Children), then as a solo artist. His music features a mellow guitar sound and an accordion melody with poetic lyrics. This is his first collaboration with a string quartet with some unique classical pieces he has never done previously. A concert bespoke for SSH and certainly not to be missed.
