The Vienna Walzer Orchestra is a chamber orchestra based in Vienna, Austria. Founded in 1990 by Dr Sandro Cuturello, it is made up of musicians of various nationalities and backgrounds who live and work in Vienna. Dr Cuturello serves as the principal conductor and artistic manager of this ensemble.

 

As a conductor and pianist, Sandro Cuturello has had a large impact on many musical and cultural events in Vienna and throughout Europe and Asia. His highly acclaimed concert tours and performances continue to feature him in many of the most important international music centers.

 

Sandro Cuturello was born in Tropea (Italy). In 1980 he moved to Rome where he studied piano at the renowned Santa Cecilia Conservatory with Maestro Sergio Perticaroli. Afterward, he began his studies in political philosophy at The University in Rome and received his PhD cum laude. Since 1985 Maestro Cuturello has been living in Vienna where he continues to expand upon his musical education and experience as a pianist, composer and conductor.
