The ThreeX is a modern instrumental trio. From the beginning, the group’s original line-up – two violins and piano – has had an impulse to create their own arrangements and to compose their own pieces. Over time they also started creating completely original programs. A wide range of music styles and novel arrangement solutions are a distinctive feature of the trio. Combine this with the musicians’ ingenuity and versatility of talent, the trio’s uniqueness is obvious.

 

The trio is composed of winners of international competitions and graduates of the renowned University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, who – despite their young age – collaborate with the biggest names in the music industry. Their diversity, familiarity with the stage and level of professionalism that is displayed in every aspect of their performance place The Three X among the top chamber music groups of their kind in the world. And don't just take out word for it: The Three X won gold at the Osaka Chamber Music Competition & Festival in Japan. To date, The Three X has given over 250 performances around the world.

 
Since 2016, the trio has organized the Crossover Music Festival in Bielsko-Biała, which promotes the artistic work of young artists who are impossible to assign to a single music trend or style.

 

 

Violin: Krzysztof Kokoszewski

 

Krzysztof's violin talent must be inherent: as the third consecutive generation of violin players, his family clearly has musical genes. With the help of social media, he shares behind-the-scenes moments with his fans. He also has a YouTube vlog which covers the trio's concert tours. When seen on stage, it is not difficult to see he was brought up among circus artists...

 

Piano: Jacek Obstarczyk

 

The harmonic and rhythmic pillar of the group. Jacek utilizes his artistic versatility by performing in various concerts, from classical music to gospel, as well as moonlighting as a recording engineer and music producer. From the moment the trio was formed, all the arrangements have exclusively been his work.

 

Violin: Jacek Stolarczyk

 

Controls the trio's creative chaos. Jacek inspects the contracts, checks the flights and verifies concert dates. On stage, he glances at his watch every now and then to make sure the duration of the performance is compliant with the one specified in the contract. Photography is his passion – he keeps a photo archive of the trio's journeys to distant lands. Raised among trombone players, he readily uses an eclectic range of brass instruments.
