Event details

An exceptional and wonderful experience for kids!
- A finding trip guides by music and dance: sun, earth, beach, sky, water, leaves, petals…
- An investigation into interactive theater in immersive environment: embracing the works of god, whispering to colors, playing with animals…
- A magic tour brings the kids into the worlds of Alice in wonderland and Peter Pan in Neverland…
- A hundred and eight sensors waiting for the little ones to start-up

“The Painted Garden” is one of T.P.O.’s CCC [children's cheering carpet] Garden Trilogy. In the courtyard of colored light that recalls an oriental carpet, the artist Rebwar Saeed invites us to enter his garden painted with his favorite colors: yellow (the garden of earth), blue (the garden of water), green (the garden of leaves), and red (the garden of love)

This is an exceptional interactive dance and multimedia show in which children are invited to accompany dancers in the world on stage, a world filled with sensors that respond to movement and sound. Spontaneous and filled with surprising twists the show will be a memorable adventure for children where they are not only able to observe the story of the wonderful garden but also to experience it with their bodies, to fully participate in the creative process.

- “A new experience in participatory theater…inclusive and embracing! It’s about theatre as a shared experience and I’ve never seen anything quite like it.” —Tony Reekie, director of Bank of Scotland's Childrens International Theatre Festival.

- “The audience is led into a digitally crated world of astonishing sounds and image, where every movement made alters the visual display as the virtual garden bursts into bloom and life.” — Stanley Halls, The Guardian

- “See the world through children’s eyes, create surprise and originality with imaginative methods; this time, children and their parents should all take off shoes, step barefeet into the secret garden on the magic carpet.” — Lee Li-heng, Artistic Director of Taipei Arts Festival.

About T.P.O.
Established in 1981, T.P.O. is an internationally renowned creative and interactive children theater. It is formed by a team of members from various disciplines of the visual and performing arts. Space is the protagonist in TPO’s shows with its images, colors and sounds. Thanks to the use of interactive technologies, every show is transformed into a “sensitive” environment where the thin border between art and play can be experienced. Dancers, performers and the audience interact with each other exploring new expressive forms that go beyond language and cultural barriers.

T.P.O. has been invited to many world international children’s art festivals including arts festival organized by the International Association for theater of Children and Young People (ASSITEJ), Okinawa Youth International Arts Festival, Taipei Children’s Arts Festival and so on.
