Day  1 – September 30

• Hop on our flights and meet in Shangri-La
• Check in to a Tibetan-Style guesthouse

 

Day 2 – October 1

 

Shangri-La → Bengzilan [2050 m] → White horse snow mountain [4292 m] → Feilai Temple [3350 m] [6-7 hrs drive]

 

• Set off on an amazing journey through grasslands, lakes and laid-back Tibetan villages
• Arrive and check in to our hotel with stunning views of Mt. Meili’s peak

Day 3 – October 2

 

Feilai Temple [3350 m] → Lancang River Canyon → Xidang → Nanzong Pass [3800 m]  → Upper Yubeng Village [3200 m] (~18 km, 7-8 hour trek)

 

• Wake up early and set out for the magnificent Feilai Temple to catch the sunrise
• Return, have a good breakfast and hop on the bus for an hour
• Start our trek towards Shangri-La
• Spend the night in a Tibetan style guesthouse

 

Day 4 – October 3

 

Upper Yubeng village [3200 m] → Shangnalazong Pass [3900 m] → Xiaonong Basecamp [3700m] → Ice Lake [4100 m] → Upper Yubeng Village [3200 m] (~22 km, 8-9 hours trek)

 

• Get up early and start our trek through grasslands and forests to Xiaonong Basecamp
• Continue our trek, check out the awesome “Iced Lake” aka the Heart of Mt.Meili
• Head back to our guest house

 

Day 5 – October 4

 

Upper Yubeng Village [3200 m] → Lower Yubeng Village [3100 m] → Sacred Waterfall [3700 m] → Ninong Canyon [2100 m] → Feilai Temple [3350 m] (~ 32 km, 9-10 hours trek)

 

• Get up early and start our trek through sacred waterfalls and forests
• Continue our trek, passing through beautiful mountains and along Ninong canyon
• Check in our hotel with amazing views

 

Day 6 – October 5

 

• Hop on the bus and head towards Zhongdian
• Visit the biggest Tibetan Monastery in Yunnan
• Check out a massive prayer wheel
• Check in to a Tibetan-style guesthouse

 

Day 7 – October 6

• Hop on the bus and head to Tiger Leaping Gorge
• Check out the beautiful scenery
• Hop on the bus and head to the ancient city of Lijiang
• Arrive in the magnificent ancient town of LIjiang
• Go out for some drinks in the ancient town

 

Day 8 – October 7

• Check out Lijiang city
• Head to the airport and catch our flight back home
