MACARENA MARTÍNEZ
Born in Seville, where she studied music at the Superior Conservatory of Seville "Manuel Castillo". In turn, she receives classes from Anka Bittan (Soloist of the ROSS), Tamara Bektemirova (Concertino from the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville) and Jorg Hoffmann (professor from the Hochschule Musik of Freiburg in Germany).
She has performed in important European audiences with the JONDE, the Rotterdam Youth Orchestra and the French Orchestra under the baton of directors such as Lutz Köhler, Antoni Ros-Marbá, Christopher Hogwood, Ernest Martínez Izquierdo, Josep Vicent, Fabio Biondi, Jacob Kreizberg , Christoph Penderecky, López Cobos and Valeri Gergiev.
Macarena is an artist sponsored by Unicaja during the 2017-18 season. As a result of this collaboration, a double CD with the complete works for violin and piano by Joaquín Turina under the Brilliant Classics label, playing with a violin by Antonio, will soon be released. JUAN ESCALERA PEÑA
Juan Escalera is a well-known Andalusian accompanist pianist.
Born in Seville, he studied music at the "Manuel Castillo" Conservatory of Music under the direction of Adela Barranco, Pilar Bilbao and José Manuel de Diego, obtaining the title of Senior Piano Teacher with the highest grades. He perfected these studies in countries such as Holland, France, Switzerland or Russia, with teachers of the likes of G. Sandor, J Ekier, J. O'Connor or L. Bermann among others, culminating for two years with Josep Colom at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid)
His vocation for chamber music led him to assiduously form duos with artists such as saxophonists Miguel Romero and Juan Pedro Luna, flutist Alfonso Rubio, cellist Israel Fausto Martínez, violinist Macarena Martínez, and soprano Sara Rosique and Rosa Mº de Alba and to be invited to collaborate in some of his concerts with saxophone stas of the prestige of Claude Delangle, Vincent David or Arno Bornakamp. which has allowed him to perform numerous concerts in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, Algeria and Slovenia with great success of public and critics.
