Russian piano virtuoso Yevgeny Mikhailov and the music of Russian composers of the Romantic period resonate in the widest sense. In addition to his original adaptations of The History of Piano Adaptations, The History of French Piano Music, The History of Suite: From Baroque to Impressionism, and the concert Fairy Tales in Russian Music, he is best known for his performances of the works of Metternich, Rachmaninov, and Scriabin, and in 1998, armed with the works of these composers, Yevgeny Mikhailov enjoyed a very successful career both in Russia and abroad.

Since then, Yevgeny Mikhailov has been recognised as a virtuoso performer of Russian music of the "Silver Age", a spokesman for the music of the "Silver Age", and his recordings of the Scriabin Sonatas are of the highest quality, receiving international accolades, including from Russia's "Musical Criticism and Culture", the Los Angeles Times, and the Los Angeles Times, The recording of Scriabin's sonatas is a masterpiece and has been praised by the international music media, including the Russian "Music Review and Culture" and the American "Los Angeles Times".

Yevgeny Mikhailov studied at the Kazan State Conservatory of Music and the Moscow State Conservatory of Music, where he learnt from the Russian piano virtuoso Mikhail Voskransensky, who praised him for his "sensitive lyrical talent" and "beautiful sense of musical form". Since 1995 he has been a frequent performer, giving more than 800 concerts all over the world, and since 1996 Yevgeny Mikhailov has been a professor at the Kazan State Conservatory. In addition to participating in various national and international piano competitions, such as the Scriabin International Piano Competition (Moscow, Russia), the American Open Music Competition (San Francisco, USA), the All-Russian State Music Competition (Moscow), the Melzanov International Piano Competition (Sofia, Bulgaria). He has also given seminars and masterclasses in many cities in Russia, USA, Korea, Japan, Sweden, Norway and Switzerland, and in 2006 he gave a masterclass and lecture at the World Piano Education Conference in the USA.

From the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow to the Philharmonic Hall in St Petersburg, he has been invited by all the major concert halls in Russia, and the sound of his piano has been heard in concert halls large and small in Russia.
The melodies that flow from his fingertips have travelled to prestigious venues all over the world: the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the "G. Verdi" Concert Hall in Milan, the Salle Cortot in Paris, St. Martin in the Fields in London, the Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles, the Steinway and Sons Hall in New York, the Seoul Arts Centre in South Korea, and Hong Kong's City Hall, Cealar ReIt Rey Hall in Istanbul (Turkey). He has been a regular guest at many international festivals, including those in Germany (Berlin-Moskau Festival), Switzerland (Lucerne International Music Festival), Norway (Bergen Grieg International Music Festival), the United States (Bellingham Music Festival), as well as in Russia, Austria and Sweden.

Evgeny has worked with legendary masters such as the British-born Soviet pianist Vladimir Ashkenazy, the founder of the Russian National Symphony Orchestra, pianist and conductor Pletnev, as well as J. Caballe Domenech, J. Mester, M. Palmer, J. Neschling, D. Raiskin, M. Gorenstein, S. Sondetskis, V. Ziva, V. Ponkin, N. Alekseev and other world-renowned conductors in ENTIRE SOUL.
The repertoire includes Bach, Scarlatti, French Baroque composers, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Liszt, Franck, Grieg, Debussy, Ravel, Prenk, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, Tanev, Meitner, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, modern composers; has performed more than 40 concerts for piano and orchestra (from Bach to Schnittke).
