Alexei Kornienko (born May 5, 1954 in Moscow) is an Austrian conductor and pianist of Russian descent.

 

Alexei Kornienko is an outstanding musician whose work is characterized both by an unconditional and joyful attention to text and also a boldness in interpretation. This seeming contradiction, in fact, stands the Austrian conductor Kornienko in very good stead. His work as a pianist of the Russian school, with his extraordinarily wide Classical and Romantic repertoire, is combined profoundly with his work as a conductor, which he has steadily expanded in recent years.

 

 

Elena Denisova (born February 14, 1963 in Moscow) is an Austrian violinist and festival director of Russian descent.

 

As an ambassador of the magic of sound Elena Denisova is among one of the most charismatic figures of the international violinist elite. Wherever she performs the press certifies her musical maturity, absolutely individual interpretation and superior virtuosity. She sees herself as a passionate "Ambassador of the magic of sound" and places this motto first to all interpretations not only of classical music but also of contemporary pieces. Numerous works have been devoted to her by contemporary composers; some of them are perpetuated on CDs.

Denisova was the student of David Oistrakhs favorite students Valery Klimov and Oleg Kagan, and started her amazing career in 1990, which led her to performances with great orchestras (including Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Lodon), numerous festivals (including Salzburger Festspiele) and prestigious concert series (including the Vienna Musikverein).
