Berliner Barock Solisten

Berliner Barock Solisten – Founded in 1995 by musicians including Rainer Kussmaul, then principal violinist of the Berlin Philharmonic, the ensemble is dedicated to historically informed performances of Baroque and Classical repertoire. It is an official chamber ensemble of the Berlin Philharmonic.

Noah Bendix-Balgley

The current first concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic, he is at once orchestra leader, soloist and chamber musician, and ranks among the most active violinists on the international stage today. With a distinctive tone that combines crystalline clarity and profound emotion, he has won acclaim from audiences worldwide for his deeply compelling interpretations.

DIYANG MEI

Currently principal violist of the Berlin Philharmonic and professor at the Berlin Hanns Eisler School of Music, he is the first musician from China in the Berlin Philharmonic's more than 140-year history. Previously, he served as tenured principal violist of the Munich Philharmonic and has been invited to serve on the jury of the Brahms International Viola Competition in Austria.
