The 2017 Shanghai Trophy will be held on November 24-26 in Shanghai. The 2017 Shanghai Trophy will include figure staking, short track speed skating and synchronized skating.

Top eight from the 2016/17 World Figure Skating Championships and top three from the 2016/17 World Junior Figure Skating Championships will be invited to compete at the 2017 Shanghai Trophy. Home figure skaters of China will have a qualification for each event.

As to short track speed skating, the 2017 Shanghai Trophy will see both men’s and women’s top 24 all-round from the 2016/17 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships. Mixed Team Relay will be a new highlight of the tournament.

Top five teams from the 2016/17 World Synchronized Skating Championships - Russia, Finland, Canada, the United States and Sweden - will join host skaters of China to delight local spectators.

Before the 2017 Shanghai Trophy, Shanghai will also host the 2017/18 ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup from November 9-12, which will be a qualifying event for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
