Let’s go…conquer Tianmushan! (The most difficult trek in Eastern China)

 

This weekend is all about rising to the challenge as we tackle a trekker’s dream. This is a 50km two day trek, dubbed the most difficult route in Eastern China.

 

Head into nature, while trekking across Mount Tianmu’s seven peaks, check out some awesome views along the way, and finish it off with a bonfire party, of course!

Trekking route:

Xianren Peak [1506 m] → Longwang Peak [1587 m] →  Yaowang Peak [1551 m] → Qianmu Tian [1554 m] → Tonghang Gang [1503 m] → Yangtian Ping [1248 m] → Daxian Peak 1479 m]

 

Dates: April 13-15 (Friday to Sunday evening)

 

Day 1 – Friday, April 13

19:00 – Meet at Hongkou Stadium (Metro Lines 8 and 3) Exit 3, outside - follow the music!

23:00 – Arrival and check in our guesthouse

 

Day 2 – Saturday, April 14

 

5 peaks - 28 km - 9 ~10 hours

 

06:00 – Simple Western breakfast

06:40 – Head over our starting point

07:00 – Start our awesome trek

08:20 – Arrive at the first peak - Xianren Peak and check out the beautiful views

10:20 – Reach the second peak - Longwang Peak

12:30 – Third peak, we’re here! - Yaowang Peak and picnic with your favorite food

13:20 – Continue trekking

14:20 – Time for the fourth peak - Qianmu Tian

15:50 – Conquer the fifth peak and final peak for the day - Tonghang Gang!

17:20 – Back to our guesthouse after a day of trekking!

18:00 – Local specialty dinner

19:00 – Bonfire party with great music and drinks!

 

Day 3 – Sunday, April 15

 

2 peaks - 22 km - 6~7 hours

 

07:00 – Simple Western Breakfast

08:00 – Continue our trek

10:00 – Arrive at the sixth peak - Yangtian Ping

11:00 – Reach the Xianren Platform for some great views

12:00 – Arrive at the last peak of our journey - Daxian Peak, and have a picnic lunch

12:30 – Go downhill and head to our destination Forest Farm

15:30 – Hop on the bus and chillax on our way back home

19:30 – Arrive in Shanghai
