NEW! Shenzhen/Guangzhou Departure: Let's go... hike the legendary MacLehose trail in Hong Kong!

We will be conquering part of the MacLehose Trail – one of the most highly ranked hiking trails in the entire world, a 100km trail full of breathtaking scenery! We’re going to hike Stage 2 (13.5km) of the trail, the section with the best views, check out Hong Kong’s beautiful beaches, explore the UNESCO Hong Kong Global Geopark, and more!!

Dates: Each Saturday

08:00 - Meet at the Shenzhen Bay Port (based on number of participants, we'll either take a chartered bus or taxi to the trek startpoint)

08:15 - Trip leader will organize immigration/border crossing

09:00 - Take bus/taxi to the East Dam of UNESCO Hong Kong Global Geopark, our awesome trek startpoint

10:30 - Warm up activities, take pictures, and start our trek

11:30 - Arrive at Long Ke Wan, a beautiful beach

13:30 - Stop for some leisure time at Tai Long Sai Wan, a beautiful untainted beach with white sands and clear waters, one of the best scenic sites in Hong Kong, and have our lunch

14:50 - Check out the panoramic ocean views from the peak at Ham Tin Wan

15:30 - Arrive at Tai Long Wan (Big Wave Bay), one of the most beautiful places in Hong Kong

17:00 - Arrive at our destination: Pak Tam Au, and take bus/taxi back to Shenzhen (on your own)

Meals:

Not included – please pack your own meals/snacks for the trip.

Transportation:

Included – private bus or taxi from immigration port to trek startpoint

Not included – return transportation costs to immigration port after the trek, transportation in Shenzhen

Note: You must have your passport (and Hong Kong permit, if necessary, for this trip).

Includes: Travel expenses from Shenzhen Bay Port to trek startpoint, foreign insurance, trip leader, planned activities, public shared goods​, , emergency medical insurance, and tons of fun!

Note: While this trip will have a Leader, he/she may or may not speak English. That said, foreigners have traveled with this group before without any issues.  

Does not include: Return travel expenses, meals and snacks, water, other personal expenses

What you need to bring:

PASSPORT/ID, camera/GoPro, power bank, backpack, hiking shoes, trekking poles, headlight/flashlight, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water (recommended: 2L), knee braces if needed, swimsuit (optional - depending on weather), etc.

Cancellation & Disclaimer:

If the traveler decides to cancel, s/he can get a full refund up to 3 days before the trip, an 80% refund if cancelled 2 days before the trip, and no refund if cancelled 1 day or less before the trip departure.
