HOW Art Museum is pleased to announce that JUST DRILL IT, solo exhibition of Li Hanwei, will be on view from March 31, 2024. 

Seeing technology as a new creative medium, Li Hanwei seeks to demonstrate and assess how it intervenes in and even dominates our perception, communication and identity construction, thus triggering a profound reflection on individual autonomy and cultural diversity in a techno-pragmatic society.

With the help of modern technological means such as cloud computing and 3D printing, the exhibition JUST DRILL IT challenges the cultural inertia in the context of the flood of information and technological dependence, revealing the blurring of the individual's position in the intertwining of the virtual and the real, and at the same time questioning the modern society's over-reliance on technology.

In this context, the title of the exhibition is a slogan designed to encourage us to fight against the modern way of life that turns human beings into passive recipients, and to call on us to act actively and participate in the creation of culture and the use of technological media. It demands that we must never cede our individual initiative and refuse to rely entirely on technology to regulate our lives and values.
